Roots for Rights is a network of women from different backgrounds and expertise. We are women that support the mothers with babies navigating the Dutch system. And we all know that a listening ear, practical help, giving information or simpy being present and answering the phone can make all the difference. So you are very welcome.

Every woman has the right to care. But finding care can be difficult when you do not have the right documents, when you are new in the Netherlands, when you live in an asylum seeker centre, or when you do not know where to go.

The women in the network of Roots for Rights help you understand what care is available and how to reach it. We do not replace doctors, midwives or professional care. We help women find their way, ask questions and connect to the right support.

We help you with:

• finding pregnancy care
• contact with midwives or maternity care
• understanding appointments and referrals
• practical questions around birth and motherhood
• support after birth
• finding help when something feels unsafe or unclear

Care should be reachable, respectful and safe. We offer our support.
